VPNS HELP SAFEGUARD INFORMATION The modern work environment doesn’t look the same as it has in the past. Having access from outside the organization has become a flexible and convenient option for organizations. While working from home or offsite has its benefits, not having secure internet could put your personal information and Admin's confidential information at risk. How can you secure your internet while working from outside of your Admin office? Having a virtual private network is the solution to virtual vulnerability. Attackers can collect confidential information by intercepting it through the traffic of public networks. However, a virtual private network — or VPN — provides a secure alternative by connecting to the internet through an encrypted tunnel. Since VPN tunnels are encrypted, all virtual activity is protected, thus helping to safeguard you and your organization’s information. Remote access VPN is required for Admin team members to provide a secure way of accessing company files and resources while working from different locations. Virtual private networks have an intricate role within modern companies and organizations. Without the protection they provide, attackers could easily gain access to confidential information. Working remotely should be just as efficient as working in office. Regardless of your working location, always virtually protect yourself!

The Associate Public Manager (APM) Cohort Program wrapped up at the end of June. APM is a nine-month certification course offered by Admin's Learning and Organization Development team. Cohort members complete the required coursework via in-person and virtual training days, meet with an assigned mentor through the program and give a final group presentation. Interesting coursework and practical work-related discussions geared toward state government processes help cohort members acquire the skills and knowledge needed to be a successful supervisor in today's changing workplace. A non-cohort version of APM is also offered, allowing a more flexible path for program completion.
