We invited feedback from 4,000 Australians across our community, and nearly two-thirds of us are feeling more divided than ever before. So what's going on? Unpack the possible factors contributing to this growing divide with our Chief Policy and Research Officer, Rory Gallagher, and let us know your perspective in the comments.

Two years ago, our Founder & Chair Paul Bassat identified a pressing need for Australia to tackle its most critical issues more effectively.   Even now, Australians continue to express that they are not being heard on the big issues in our society.   Since our launch just over a week ago, over 1,800 Australians have become AMPLIFY members, and together, we are poised to drive meaningful change.   The solutions we develop and the decisions we influence today will significantly shape our future. Join the community turning opinions into ideas and actions.

    Co founder at Square Peg

I’m incredibly excited (and also very nervous!) about the launch of AMPLIFY The journey for me that led to AMPLIFY started about two years ago. I have always felt enormous gratitude to have been born in Australia but, like many of you, I felt that we weren’t going in the right direction as a country. I started turning my mind to what we might do about the situation and got advice and encouragement from some amazing people. We decided to set up an organisation that is all about community at its core. So what is Amplify? Amplify is a community where Australians get to have their say and make a difference on the most important issues that we face as a country. We are non-partisan and completely independent of any political party. Anyone can become a member of Amplify at no charge. We are seeking to find “uncommon ground” and identify the right solutions to the big issues facing Australia. The way in which we will make an impact is by taking our ideas to politicians and Amplifying the voice of our community to spark change. Our goal is to help Australia become a more prosperous, fairer, more cohesive and happier country. I will be serving as founder and Chair of Amplify. My job at Square Peg is not changing in any way. Georgina Harrisson is our CEO and has been doing a remarkable job since joining last October. I am also really proud that my son Joel Bassat is an important part of the Amplify team; he has played a critical role since day 1. I am grateful to the amazing group of people who have joined the Amplify board; Suzi Carp, Rona Glynn-McDonald, Kate Jones, Gill McLachlan, Dominic Perrottet, Kate Pounder, Michael Schneider and Zara Seidler If we are going to be successful we need your support. You can sign up at our website and become a member in a few seconds. Please spread the word; you can like, comment and share this post and if you have a few moments, you might want to write your own post.

Keen to find out more about the story behind AMPLIFY? Hear it directly from our Founder and Chair, Paul Bassat. He caught up with radio legend Wippa today to talk about why AMPLIFY is needed and how it will create change. The more people that contribute, the more likely we’ll find new solutions to Australia’s big issues. With AMPLIFY’s collective brainpower, we can find uncommon ground and create a better future for Australia. NOVA Entertainment #UncommonGround

Great to see the Sydney Morning Herald's interview with Paul Bassat and Georgina Harrisson highlighting the fact that “the community will set the agenda.” The AMPLIFY community is open to Australians from all walks of life. “I hope we get everyone; younger people, older people, people from inner and outer suburbs and rural and regional Australia, people whose families have been here for five or six generations and people who have just arrived, people who have some money and those struggling to pay the mortgage.” - Paul Bassat, Founder & Chair, AMPLIFY.   https://lnkd.in/gVEGvVfx

    Co-Founder, The Daily Aus | Speaker | Forbes 30 Under 30

Through TDA, I watch policy conversations unfurl in comment sections on a daily basis. I know many young people feel like these conversations are occurring in an abyss, with policymakers seemingly miles away. That's why I was so excited to learn about AMPLIFY, which is providing a new space for people to come together, have their say and make a difference on the most important issues facing Australia. Really delighted to be joining the Board of AMPLIFY, chaired by the inimitable  Paul Bassat. Here's to making this country even better and finding uncommon ground.

Australia is a great country, but we know things aren’t working the way they should. We trust each other way more than we do political parties and media on almost every major issue, and yet, paradoxically, we’ve stopped really listening to each others' ideas and views. AMPLIFY was born out of the critical need to bring an increasingly divided and polarised society together and give Australians a say on the big issues that affect us now and into the future. AMPLIFY is a non-partisan, completely independent community of Australians from all walks of life who seek to find uncommon ground and identify the right solutions to the issues facing Australia. We will make a difference by AMPLIFYing the voice of our community to our politicians, sparking change and helping build the policy blueprint for Australia’s future. If you're feeling that Australia could be better – should be better – you are not alone. The AMPLIFY community is free to join for all Australians. We welcome all views and ideas equally and share a goal of helping Australia become a more prosperous, fairer, more cohesive and happier country.
