The TIMES Project is pushing the boundaries of wireless communication with our vision of a smart radio ecosystem operating at #THz frequencies, offering wired-like performance and the ability to support numerous heterogeneous devices in complex environments like industrial settings. This deliverable introduces the concept of an "intelligent and multi-goal mesh network" powered by Reflective Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) and metaprisms to enhance THz communications. Key highlights include: - THz-based #RIS performance and their impact on #MIMO channels, even in challenging conditions. - The role of #metaprisms in industrial environments, both for communications and sensing. - The development of a simulation tool for realistic performance evaluation in smart propagation environments. While these findings are preliminary, the results provide a crucial step towards optimizing THz-based networks and leveraging smart propagation environments.
