Weekly Recap We launched our new Flexible Part-time staffing program, and the quality of applicants has been impressive. We are excited to see increased interest from primary caregivers. Spent time with Renée Heininger fine-tuning our industry classification system for customer data (super exciting, right?). Helped a customer wrap up their merchandising plan during a half-day onsite. Rolled out phishing training for the team "Click here" to learn more. 😆 Introduced automation into our accounting department using BILL.com, and saw almost instant improvements. Completed 6 interviews for our latest hiring efforts. Stayed up late working on design concepts for a client pitch. Most of them got rejected, can't win them all! The wife and I talked with our youngest about handling "big feelings" at daycare. We got her a squishy Mickey Mouse to squeeze when she’s frustrated.

Weekly Recap Had a going-away lunch with one of our longest-term employees. It was a great chance to reminisce, laugh about the old days, and wish them luck as they move out of state and embark on a new journey. Traveled with our Head of Sales for two on-site visits: one to help merchandise before the busy season, and another to tour a facility and plan merchandising. There must be a better system than email. Spent Tuesday's 'B' shift clearing out 510 emails—20% spam, 60% no action needed, and 20% awaiting responses. I conducted 12 in-person job interviews this week for our latest hiring round and got word that we’re officially 3 weeks out from the utility upgrade at the new building. Created concept designs for a new customer pitch, Channeled my inner Maria Kast, and wrote the vision statement for our newest target market. Tried teaching the girls how to hit tennis balls. It didn’t go as planned, but at least no one got hit by a racket, haha!

Weekly Recap I spent Monday hands-on with the embroidery team to help meet customer deadline. Assisted our friends Joywave out of a bind by shuttling boxes across town ahead of their tour. Productive meeting with the Head of Sales, we outlined some easily actionable tasks to keep improving both our customer experience and the sales team’s job satisfaction. Wrapped up a few more one-on-ones but unfortunately had to push some to next week. Took a 24-hour trip to NYC with our Marketing Director Renée Heininger to attend the Marketing Brew Summit. Met an impressive young founder Elijah Khasabo and visited a great customer SPIN Met with HR about establishing an official cybersecurity training program for the team. Kicked off the first round of screening interviews for our latest hiring round. Got my Girls two cute books from Kinokuniya New York: Mai and the Missing Melon by Sonoko Sakai 🍈 The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish. 🐴

Weekly Recap Successfully transitioned a team member who acquired their own shop, I wanted to ensure we left on good terms. We discovered a three-month cycle of miscommunication between our electrical contractor, the City’s contractor, and the City of Rochester. Hopefully, it's all back on track. We had a tough but productive production meeting about how to better utilize the 20-30% downtime inherent in our current production system. Refocusing our Marketing Director to concentrate on social media as we continue to onboard and develop our broader strategy. Wrapped up most staff performance reviews but have a few key meetings left. A new sales vertical is showing promise; I think it will be a key component in our business three years out. My oldest started kindergarten this week!
