Meet tms’ Future Lab – our team who leads the charge reinventing the McDonald's Happy Meal toy towards a more sustainable future. 🌎🍟 Formed in 2018, The Future Lab is responsible for identifying new, more sustainable materials, suppliers, and production processes for Happy Meal toys. As part of this process, they design and research new toy concepts that are safe, durable, deliver high perceived value, and most importantly, align with McDonald’s Global sustainability goals. 💭 "Of all cohorts, Gen Z is more reliant on the instant gratification of a dopamine hit, given its finances at a time when all share ongoing concerns about the cost of living. Celebrating the little wins is very much about doing so in ways that don't break the bank." tms' Senior Strategist, Grace Kennedy, spoke with Ad Age to discuss what brands can learn from Gen Z's pursuit of happiness in an age where many are consumed by loneliness and financial pressures. As a result, it's important for brands to capitalize on "splurge" moments which celebrate the little wins in everyday life. Read more on Ad Age: https://lnkd.in/gmKfcHY4

The Boo Buckets are Back! 🎃✨ Halloween is near, the arches are lit, and customers know they can count on tms and McDonald's Happy Meal for a scary good time. 🦇👻 Beginning on October 15 and running while supplies last, the Boo Buckets are back with four new monsters, including a new Blue Boo Bucket! The updated designs play on the generational love for Boo Buckets, incorporating retro illustrations to incite a feeling of nostalgia and tradition. 🍬 🎙️ “Creating future nostalgia for Gen Alpha through Happy Meal is something McDonald’s has tasked us with and a lens we are always looking through as we evaluate our campaigns. In a recent article with the Marketing Insider, our SVP of Strategy & Experience, Ryan Kite-Hedges, explains how brands can move beyond transactional loyalty programs. By focusing on customer connections through frequency-based rewards, surprise perks, and strategic partnerships, brands can create lasting added value. "Brands tout rewards and access for purchases, with points as the most frequent digital currency. This value exchange creates a transactional feeling to what should be a relationship building attachment between customer and brand.” Read the full article: https://bit.ly/3YiBZaO

Through our partnership with Women in Football, today tms hosted Anna Allerton from Allerton Coaching & Consulting, who shared her personal journey, helping us raise awareness and further open the conversation regarding perimenopause and menopause. A huge thank you to Anna – and the 40 tms women and 15 tms men that attended - for sharing so much insight, which helped explain why so many women stop going for promotions or quit work altogether when going through this time in their life. We learnt there are six areas that businesses can do more in to support women at work who are experiencing perimenopause and menopause: - Policy and training - Data and metrics - Community impact - Allyship / shared stakeholdering - Making evidence backed information available - Focus on what works for your people Thank you for all the resources, making the space for people to have vulnerable conversations, and for sharing the wonderful Japanese phrase for this time of life, “a second spring”. Is your company doing enough? I would love to hear about successes in your journeys.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Webby Talk, "It's Giving Brainrot," at our Chicago headquarters, featuring Jordana Jarrett, Head of Content at The Webby Awards. Jordana delivered a fascinating presentation on the evolution of online content, the phenomenon of being "chronically online," and how niche internet culture is crossing over into mainstream media. Following her talk, tms’ Ryan Kite-Hedges, SVP Strategy & Experience, and JT Andexler, SVP Group Creative Director, joined Jordana for a panel discussion that delved even deeper into the topic. Curious about "brainrot" and how digital content is impacting brands and culture? Read more: https://lnkd.in/g34XeF4K
