Congratulations to Maria Medina, winner of TCHP's June patient raffle! Maria won a bike donated to the Clinic to help patients. During the entire month of June, patients could enter the raffle for a chance to win. Maria's name was chosen in a random drawing by TCHP's new executive director, Dani Ward. Maria is thrilled to have a new-to-her bike which she plans to use to both increase her own exercising and to be more active outside with her children. Congratulations Maria! Hello everyone! It is with excitement (and a little sadness) I share that I am taking the next step and have accepted a new position and will be moving to Milwaukee at the end of the month. I will be the new President and CEO of a nonprofit called Kathy's House. This is a hospital guest house that provides lodging for those traveling to Milwaukee for medical care. Typically those needing cancer treatments, but unable to afford a hotel stay for extended periods. For 7 years, St. Charles has been home, and TCHP will always hold a very large piece of my heart. I understand the phrase, "bitter sweet" in a new way. I have nothing but love, respect and gratitude to the staff, volunteers, board, donors and patients we serve. I am confident that TCHP will continue to soar and with the dedication of the board of directors, further the mission to treat those in need.
