⭐It’s We Show Up Wednesday!⭐ Today, we shine the spotlight on Debra, a phlebotomist in our lab! A patient recognized Debra from a previous visit and was thrilled to see her again. Debra even came in after her shift to sit with the patient. This is compassionate care at its best. Debra goes above and beyond for her patients and her energy always fills the room! Debra’s reason to “Show Up” is simple. “I love helping and meeting people. I enjoy what I do and I’ve done it for so long. People don’t like needles, but I’m gentle. No matter how small an interaction may seem, they always have big impacts on others. Lauren spoke about one experience today: "Today, we brought the therapy dog into a patient’s room, and she started crying tears of joy. These are the moments that make my job so amazing. This weekend, colleagues from TriStar Southern Hills joined more than 60 colleagues from TriStar Health to travel to Asheville, North Carolina to support, assist and provide relief to caregivers at HCA Healthcare affiliate Mission Hospital. As Hurricane #Helene swept through Western North Carolina this week, it brought torrential rain, widespread power outages and cell service disruptions. Through challenging days, colleagues have selflessly served their community and supported Mission Health patients without hesitation.
