Last week, TruAmerica Multifamily’s Matt Ferrari had the pleasure of speaking on the “Placing Strategic Investments Amid Deliveries” panel at Bisnow’s Atlanta Multifamily Conference. Richard Sodeke recently spoke with students at the top-ranked School for the School for The Talented And Gifted in Dallas about opportunities in the #CRE space and how he got started. Many of these students share a passion for real estate, so Rich’s growth within the industry was particularly insightful as they face near-term career path decisions. Bob Hart recently sat down with Sam Chandan for an exclusive fireside keynote discussion at New York University’s 2025 Global Real Estate Markets Conference in Abu Dhabi. Much of their conversation centered around post-election impacts on real estate in the United States and why now is an attractive entry point for many U.S. investment strategies—particularly #multifamily. Sam, Chair of the Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance at the NYU Stern School of Business and member of TruAmerica’s Advisory Council, curated an exceptional conference with content around all real estate sectors across the U.S., Eurozone, and Gulf. TruAmerica Multifamily was proud to support such an insightful, global event.

Matt Ferrari was recently featured in Green Street’s Real Estate Alert “Multifamily Sales Rise on Second-Half Surge” segment, where he shared his insights alongside other industry experts. Discussing the state of #multifamily sales, Matt highlighted why now is an exciting time to be an apartment investor, the opportunities emerging in the market, and the parallels between markets with stronger fundamentals and higher cap rates. He also explored how operational inefficiencies and mismanagement are creating prime opportunities for skilled operators to step in and drive improvements.

The TruAmerica Multifamily team kicked off the year attending National Multifamily Housing Council’s Apartment Strategies Meeting in Las Vegas. We co-hosted a TruAmerica cocktail party, and connected with industry colleagues, investors, brokers, lenders, and management companies.    It was insightful to meet with many of our investors, brokers, lenders, management companies, and industry peers. While many now expect rates to remain higher than initially anticipated, there is optimism that supply imbalances are beginning to work their way through the system in many markets. This will continue to take time but should lead to an improved transaction market as the year evolves. The overall attitude at the conference was that people want to transact and are looking for compelling opportunities.   Matt Ferrari gained valuable insights into the impact of the new administration and Congress on our industry while attending NMHC Political Action Committee (PAC) meetings, and Richard Sodeke launched his involvement with the Emerging Leaders Committee.    Our team looks forward to seeing everyone on the road in the coming weeks and months throughout the country!
