Yesterday the Tulare County Probation Department worked alongside multiple law enforcement agencies to conduct a comprehensive Gang Suppression Operation led by the Tulare Police Department. The detail consisted of 30 probation and parole compliance checks, and eight arrests. After the compliance checks were completed, officers began saturation patrol, targeting gang activity, resulting in 38 traffic stops. Officers confiscated one illegal firearm (ghost gun), a ballistics vest, a police radio and various controlled substances. This collaboration included the Tulare Police Department, Visalia Police Department, Dinuba Police Department, Porterville Police Department, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, the Department of Justice (TARGET), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Parole, and the Tulare County District Attorney's Office. These operations demonstrate the effectiveness of partnerships in addressing gang activity and providing offender accountability. Behind these numbers are dedicated professionals who work together to create a safer Tulare County for all.
