I am very proud of our TWB team in Monroe. Their effort and focus on safety allowed us to celebrate a significant milestone this week. Congratulation on reaching one year injury free!
Formed in 1992, TWB Company, LLC is a joint venture between Worthington Steel and BAOSteel who merged with Wuhan Iron and Steel Company (WISCO) in 2017. WISCO previously purchased their shares in 2013 from ThyssenKrupp Steel, the originator of automotive tailored blanks. Over the past 30+ years TWB has developed the tailor welded blank market in North America and is the leading manufacturer of tailor welded products.

This week TWB’s South Region hosted Worthington Steel’s President and CEO Geoff Gilmore. Thomas Johns and his staff did a great job showcasing our talented employees, our first rate operations and our strong community partnerships throughout central Tennessee and Kentucky. Very proud of our team there!
So good to visit with teams at our TWB joint venture facilities in Antioch and Smyrna, Tenn. and Glasgow, Ky. this week. They always impress me with their focus on safety, lean manufacturing and Our Philosophy. Smyrna just hit over 2,600 days without a recordable, and each facility has committed to developing our manufacturing workforce of tomorrow through partnerships with local high schools, technical schools and colleges. Outstanding work!

Congratulations to TWB's interns! This outstanding group of students closed an extremely productive summer with the company by presenting several key projects they've been working on to our Senior Leadership Team in Monroe, Michigan. The students are pursuing degrees in finance, computer sciences and various engineering fields. We wish them well as they prepare for the upcoming fall semester and look forward to working with each of them again at one of our TWB operations.

Exciting times here at TWB! TWB has been combining the benefits of welded blanks with hot stamp products for some time, but this change allows us to support the hot stamp market like never before. Our license agreement has been well received by the industry, and we look forward to what comes next! https://lnkd.in/dqBubNxB
