  • WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital’s Good Catch Program has launched, and the first award winner is Barry Deutsch from our Nuclear Medicine Department of Diagnostic Imaging! The Good Catch trophy will be awarded monthly to staff who discover safety concerns before they reach the patient. Barry exemplified this when he noted a patient was in distress while under nuclear cardiac stress imaging and initiated a rapid response. Because of his expertise and quick action, Barry, the cardiology nurses, ICU staff, and the Diagnostic Imaging and Cath Lab teams got the patient the care they needed before it escalated. Great catch, Barry!

When detecting problems early, you have a better chance of treating and managing your health, so prioritize your quality of life by scheduling your appointments today!
