The Savannah Bananas and United Community align in many ways, but one of the primary ways is by placing the experience of the customer (or fan) first. The Savannah Bananas are a sensation that’s amassed a ticket waitlist of more than 2 million worldwide. Fans are treated to an experience unlike any other in sports. From their VIB (Very Important Bananas) program with exclusive access to team warm-ups to team characters like mascot Split and the Banana Nanas dance team, the whole organization works to ensure an unforgettable fan experience playing their own brand of baseball known as Banana Ball. Similarly, at United we consider the customer experience first and foremost. We work to understand each customer’s unique financial needs to help reach their goals. Earlier this month, United Community teammates, customers, and communities across the Southeast experienced devastation from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The images and stories are difficult to see and hear. Some of our employees have lost their homes and property. However, the strength of our team and these communities has been incredible to witness. TEAM United rallied to quickly work together - with daily morning updates, reports from our teams on the ground in hard-hit Western North Carolina, and immediate help sent to those who needed it most. We focused on the safety of our employees first and now that everyone is safe and accounted for, we will turn our attention to rebuilding. We have moved in mobile branches to communities that need access to their funds. We’ve sent portable bathrooms and water. We will continue to support our team and these communities until they are back on their feet. I am humbled to be part of this United team that has looked a lot like a family this month. Together, we will move forward. Solid vendor relationships have always been critical to United Community, but it's never more apparent than during a crisis. Hurricane Helene caused damage to several banking centers, but providing financial services to our customers without interruption is what we always strive to do. When we learned that we would have extended outages at these locations, we stood up mobile branches provided by Agility Recovery, and outfitted with security and banking equipment provided by CBSi. These mobile units were up and running in just a couple of days. Great customer service and flexibility- well done! #ElectronicSecurity, #TrustCBSI, #HurricaneRecovery, #Teamwork, #BusinessContinuity, #ResilienceInAction

We are proud of the people who make up United Community. When Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina, our teams left their own damaged homes and property to help their neighbors. Our communities fell into step alongside our bankers to help deliver supplies, food, and water, and offer love, prayers, and support for each other. Thank you to everyone for your compassion and kindness - and a special thank you to our WNC teammates. At United Community, we build communities. Together, we will re-build Western North Carolina. #HurricaneHelene #UnitedCommunity

Fake checks continue to be one of the most common instruments used to commit fraud against consumers. Before you deposit a check you weren’t expecting or wire funds to an unknown recipient, here is what you should know: How do Fake Check Scams Work? There are many variations of the scam. It usually starts with someone offering to: • Buy something you advertised for sale • Pay you to work at home • Give you an “advance” on a sweepstakes you’ve won • Give you the first installment of the millions you’ll receive for agreeing to transfer money in a foreign country to your bank account for safekeeping. Here are 5 tips to prevent fake check scams https://bit.ly/40m2AGe.
