We were honored to host Colorado Governor Jared Polis today at our Berthoud facilities. We took the opportunity to showcase how Ursa Major is part of what he called, "a true hotbed for aerospace and defense," in Colorado. While speaking with our CEO, Daniel Jablonsky, Governor Polis saw first-hand that our people and our campus are at the heart of developing, manufacturing, testing, and deployment of new propulsion technologies.

The The Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies released its latest research last week looking at the strategic imperative of a robust launch enterprise for our Nation. The report outlines the need for increasing launch vehicle and launch site diversification in order to preserve a space advantage. Check it out below.
At the most fundamental level, the Space Force must have assured access to space to leverage the benefits of the space domain. For systems to create desired effects in, from, and to space, they must first get to space. United States Space Force #AirForce #USAF #Airman #SpaceForce #Guardian

You are witnessing the power of Draper -- hydrogen peroxide combusting with kerosene to create 4,000 lbs of thrust for Ursa Major's storable hypersonic engine. Draper’s storability and wide throttle range allows maximum performance to serve a wide range of applications and launch conditions. Today’s 30 second high-powered test marks the 115th hotfire test of Draper on our Colorado campus and provides a mountain of data for the engineering team. *This material is based upon work supported by the AFTC/PZRA under Contract No. FA9300-23-C-6005. The conversation on the show floor at Association of the United States Army - AUSA 2024 this week centered on readiness and our Nation's production capacity for critical tech like solid rocket motors. While members of the Ursa Major team were wrapping up meetings with customers at AUSA's final day, the team in Colorado was busy delivering on those commitments with the installation of a 40 gallon energetics mixer. Ursa Major is committed to the AUSA theme of “Transforming a Complex World”

Ursa Major is proud and excited to support Stratolaunch and their Talon-A2 using our Hadley hypersonic engine as they push the boundaries of aerospace innovation.
Talon-A2 is Stratolaunch’s first recoverable autonomous hypersonic testbed designed to repeatedly air launch, fly a hypersonic trajectory, and land on a standard runway. It represents a new era of low-risk, affordable, and routine access to the hypersonic environment. Take a look inside Stratolaunch’s preparation for various aspects of this historic flight, including expanding capabilities of the air launch platform and world’s largest flight aircraft Roc, and verifying Talon-A2’s various subsystems and landing hardware.
