Trainees going through One Station Unit Training, #OSUT, at Maneuver Center of Excellence, go through their “Turning Green” ceremony after completing all graduation requirements for their Basic Combat Training, #BCT, portion. These trainees have mastered the skills necessary to become Soldiers in the US Army. They will now begin the Advanced Individual Training, #AIT, portion of their #OSUT, where they will build upon the skills learned in BCT to become either Infantry or Armor Soldiers. About us
The U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT) is the core function lead for U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command for all initial entry training. USACIMT leads the synchronization and management of initial military training and education to transform civilian volunteers into Soldiers who are disciplined, fit, combat ready, and who increase Army readiness at first units of assignment. USACIMT is the Army proponent for the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System. H2F is an enterprise-wide readiness initiative that combines all aspects of physical and non-physical human performance optimization under a single governance structure to enable commanders to improve Soldier health and fitness.

U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program Soldiers compete on the biggest stage and discuss how they've incorporated the Holistic Health and Fitness, #H2F, System into their daily lives in preparation for the 2024 games. While these Soldier-Athletes have received this high level of care for years, the H2F System began rolling out to the US Army in 2019. The subject matter experts embedded within the human performance teams provide care similar to what these Soldier-athletes receive across the Total Army, focusing on improving Soldier lethality and readiness. Holistic Health and Fitness, #H2F, Human Performance Teams across the US Army work to increase the readiness of our Soldiers and prepare them for different Exercises globally. They also help Soldiers re-acclimate to everyday life after they return from global exercises and improve their quality of life. Check out the story of SPC Cyrus Eady, with 17th Field Artillery Brigade, and how his #H2F team helped him break his addiction to energy drinks after he returned from Talisman Sabre 23. Future Brigade and Battalion command teams will now participate in a day dedicated to the Holistic Health and Fitness, #H2F, System. There, they will learn from subject-matter experts in each domain and assess their own individual readiness. “#H2F signals the biggest doctrinal, cognitive, and behavioral shift in the Army’s attitude and resourcing of soldier’s health, fitness, and individual readiness,” Col. Jim Pangelinan, the School for Command Preparation, said. https://lnkd.in/e3n99Vxq

Being a Drill Sergeant is one of the most demanding and difficult jobs in our US Army, but it is also one of the most rewarding. A Drill Sergeant is a symbol of excellence in Initial Entry Training, an expert in all warrior tasks and battle drills, lives the Army values, exemplifies the Warrior Ethos, and most importantly, is the epitome of the Army as a profession. Do you remember your Drill Sergeants?

The US Army Drill Sergeant of the Year, #DSOY, Competition kicks off September 15-19th at Fort Jackson. This competition allows Drill Sergeants from across the Army to prove who is the best at teaching, training, and mentoring future Soldiers to succeed at their first duty station. The winner from both Active Duty and the U.S. Army Reserve will begin working at the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training, advocating to the US Army TRADOC and Center for Initial Military Training Command Sgt's Maj. on improving quality of life for Drill Sergeants currently on the line.

Did you know, #DYK, that brigades that have Human Performance Teams embedded within their units footprint have a 30% lower difference in musculoskeletal injuries (MSKI) profiles lasting longer than 90 days? Holistic Health and Fitness, #H2F, is transforming how soldiers prepare for combat and moving out of the industrial age into the modern era by providing tactical athletes with the resources available to professional athletes for over twenty years. This modernization allows for decreased rates of injuries and a quicker return to duty for injured Soldiers, among many other positive metrics. US Army John Kline Michael McMurdy Kevin Bigelman

Holistic Health and Fitness, #H2F, programs vary throughout the US Army . As a Brigade Commander's program, the embedded Human Performance Teams work to accomplish their Commander's intent. The 165th Infantry Brigade has utilized its H2F team to maximize results for the constantly changing soldier population due to the busy 10-week schedule in Basic Combat Training.
