Shout out to UserGems 💎. Less than 24 hours after updating my LinkedIn with my new role at TestBox, a software company I had evaluated in the past reached out to bring their solution into my new company. When I inquired how they knew about my new gig, they credited UserGems 💎 for the notification. UserGems 💎 is making waves with their great Go-To-Market strategy. Their data/software is top-notch, and their customers are not just using it but also experiencing impressive engagement and responses!

Did you know that both Hiring and Layoffs are equally as likely to boost a team's opportunity creation rate? When companies experience team changes, they often re-evaluate their current tools and processes as well. This means they're ready to buy in the near future. Tracking hiring trends using relevant signals helps you know exactly when to reach out and what to say to close the deal. Here's what we recommend: 💎 Monitor your target accounts for hiring changes (e.g. job postings, news) 💎 Tailor your messaging to tactfully acknowledge the changes and how your product/service could help 💎 Make sure reps have this info to easily reference in their outreach Here's how each hiring signal impacts opportunities 👇

We obsess over the pairing of high-quality Signals data *and* notifications at UserGems 💎. I hardly expected my favorite Signal-based motion of the year to come from my water meter! Back in 2022, my city (water provider) required that I replace my aging meter. I noticed it had some new technology but didn't think much of it. Two years later, I started to get emails alerting me that a drip or trickle leak was present. Here's what made these so great: (1) Email is the right medium for the message. Snail mail alerts are too slow, and texting makes it feel less official and is harder to forward to a contractor, condo association, or utility provider. The CTA also leads to a website that would not look good on mobile. (2) The subject line "WaterScope - Daily Water Alert - LAST, FIRST" was well-written. It got my attention using my name in official formatting and set expectations that the 'Alert' would continue Daily until action was taken. (3) The message from a new unknown address built trust by referencing my meter number and city name and included a CTA into their web app with more advanced analytics and information. They also made it clear to contact my utility provider for further support. (4) They mentioned not only a specific type of leak but gave me real data ("Your meter's leak rate was 0.08 GPM."). And here are a few things that they could have done even better: (1) Increase the urgency by also expressing the leak in a more compelling and human-readable way ("Your meter's leak rate was .08 gallons per minute, which equates to wasting 115 gallons per day, 805 gallons per week, or 3,220 gallons per month, adding $XX to your upcoming bill"). (2) Include better CTAs that help the customer directly solve the problem you're alerting them about. Within the email, they could list some thought-provoking questions (have you recently started a construction project, added or changed any fixtures, noticed that your toilets are always filling, etc.). (3) Forgive me for thinking about monetization :) but this would be hugely valuable ad space to recommend plumbers near me. Even better if you have some example reviews/social proof of them fixing the specific leak type mentioned in the email. Hats off to the team at Metron for bringing Signals and notifications to the utility space and for creating a wow moment with this customer! I also love that they position themselves as the "Leading Smart Water AI Data Management System Company"...definitely #1️⃣ to me 🏆

We're feeling so much gratitude after our Customer Advisory Board event last week in Austin. Not only did these revenue leaders take time out of their weekend to share thoughtful feedback that will shape the future of our AI Signal platform, but they also shared the innovative ways they're driving pipeline for their businesses. To say that we left the event feeling inspired and pumped is an understatement. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — helping innovative, driven, and kind people kick butts at work and "to be less stressed on the weekend." To all who joined us and all of our advisors — Thank you! We tip our hats to you 🤠
