The Worst Cold Prospecting Email I've Ever Seen (and What We Can Learn from It) 😨 Picture this: You're scrolling through your inbox, and a new email catches your eye. The subject line screams urgency: "Service Issue with FlyMSG" Reservedly, you open the email, hoping to figure out why a customer is not happy and what is broken. But instead, you're greeted with a totally made-up story about how bad your product is. In other words, it's a lie. The message doesn't even address you via my first name. And the kicker: The entire message was designed to simulate a bad customer compliant while at the same time pitching technology development services and how they can make happier customers. 🤯 This, my friends, is the worst cold prospecting email I've ever encountered. It's the epitome of everything we should avoid when reaching out to potential customers. So, what makes a cold email bad? Here's a breakdown: 1st - it's a total lie, and it evokes fear then anger within a matter of four sentences. 2nd - tricks don't work! Remember, cold outreach is about building relationships, not making a quick sale or faking your way to the top.
