Office supplies with social impact!

About us

Office supplies with social impact! Our mission is to reduce the nearly 70% unemployment rate for people who are blind or visually impaired by providing professional job opportunities and training through our office supply business. The Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired launched VIE Ability, (formerly Cincy Sight) in 2013 in an effort to provide more professional-level job opportunities to people who had established careers, but unexpectedly lost their vision later in life. The name VIE Ability places emphasis on our employees who are visually impaired using their abilities to provide viable solutions to our customer’s office supply needs. VIE-Ability.org has over 60,000 office products and all of our office supply operations are run by people who are blind or have severe vision loss. Every time someone places an office supply order, our employees are checking inventory levels, providing the best possible customer service, managing logistics and making sure the orders are on a truck for next-day delivery. They do all of this with the help of advanced computer magnification and screen reading software. We rely on steady orders from our customers to keep a consistent workload for our employees. Orders equal work and training that our employees need to gain skills to be competitive in the workplace. Aside from the social impact purchases make, our customers also receive competitive pricing on over 60,000 high-quality office supplies with free next-day delivery on all of their orders.

Today, we remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We stand united in paying tribute to the heroes who emerged from tragedy—the first responders, the brave individuals who selflessly helped others, and the countless lives forever changed. Let us also reflect on the resilience and strength that emerged from that day, reminding us that even in the face of unimaginable loss, our unity and compassion can help us overcome anything. #NeverForget #PatriotDay #UnitedWeStand

Please help support the Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired's mission. Any amount helps!

CABVI’s mission is to empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and Jeffrey Ferreira’s story is a powerful example of that impact. After suddenly losing almost all of his vision, Jeffrey adapted with the help of CABVI's services, including white cane training, assistive technology, and in-home support. Today, he continues to excel in his role as Director of Finance and IT, embracing his independence and overcoming challenges with confidence. With a nearly 70% national unemployment rate for people who are blind or visually impaired, CABVI is working to increase employability by providing life-changing tools and skills. But we need your help! Your support can help others like Jeffrey lead fulfilling, independent lives. Consider donating today to help further CABVI’s mission. 💙 $25 provides a radio for a person who is blind or visually impaired to access Radio Reading Services. 💙 $100 provides a handheld magnifier for a senior citizen to read their own mail. 💙 $250 offers five hours of early intervention and music therapy for a young child.
