Sustainability Coordinator Kaetlin McGee breaks the news on VMA's latest demonstration of our commitment to sustainable design practices!
I am pleased to announce that Voith & Mactavish Architects LLP is now a proud signatory of the The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Materials Pledge! Just like the AIA 2030 Commitment, by signing the A&D Materials Pledge, VMA is formalizing its dedication to sustainable design in the built environment. This will build upon the good work we have already accomplished in our 35+ years of practice. Now we can track and manage our material selections better than ever before, and feel confident our material selections support our sustainability goals without relying on green building certifications. We are at a critical point in history where the industry must work together and be held accountable for the implications our materials choices have on the health, safety, and welfare of the public. I feel proud to be small contributing factor that will push owners, manufacturers, and designers alike, to be better in the ways we all know we should be. Thanks to the support of our Partners for making this happen, and for continuing to foster a work environment where sustainability in a integral part to how we do business!

Team members John H. Cluver, AIA, LEED AP, Robert A. Douglass, and Matthew McCarty (Allied ASID) were thrilled to join members of the Lincoln University community for last week's ribbon-cutting at Vail Hall! This extraordinary project, completed in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, has brought new life to one of the campus's most historic and significant buildings. We aren't saying goodbye, though - VMA is pleased to be continuing our partnership with Lincoln and DGS next door at Cresson Hall!
