Congratulations to Paul Goldschmidt on his nomination for the Roberto Clemente Award, given each year to the MLB player who best represents the league through service, character, and philanthropy. Paul has been a devoted supporter of Water Mission's work for years, including hosting an Uncork for a Cause event this year in St. Louis that raised enough funds to provide more than 20,000 people with safe water in Malawi. Congratulations, Paul! You can vote for Paul here: https://lnkd.in/gVsGuaDm

Together, the Thirst Quencher community has changed many lives, including the lives of two 14-year-old girls from opposite sides of the world. Shalay in Loma Negra, Peru, and Msekwa in Igamba, Tanzania, have one thing in common: Both girls relied on contaminated water that made them too sick to experience the joys of childhood. Thanks to our Thirst Quencher community, we were able to implement safe water solutions in Loma Negra and Igamba. Now, both girls are able to get an education and pursue their passions. Read Shalay and Msekwa's stories and learn how you can help children like them around the world by joining us as a Thirst Quencher: https://lnkd.in/eT3iWxiB

Water Mission is proud to support the implementation of the #REALWater project with our partner Aquaya in Kenya!
Eric, KIWASCO's Safety Health Environment and Quality Manager, measures the pH of a water sample collected from a Kericho County community standpipe. At the same time, Aquaya's Senior Program Officer, Lisa Appavou, records the results. Aquaya has partnered with the Kisumu Water & Sanitation Company Limited (KIWASCO) laboratory to provide water sample testing services for a water utility company in Kericho (Kericho Water & Sanitation Company Ltd(KEWASCO). This agreement facilitates the ongoing water quality #AssuranceFund program. Here is a detailed factsheet about this project in Kenya: ow.ly/pbZU50SBLrT #REALWater | USAID Global Waters | Conrad N. During SIWI - Stockholm International Water Institute #WorldWaterWeek, some of the women representing Water Mission in Stockholm attended the Women's Networking Mingle. With the global water crisis disproportionately impacting women and girls, it is inspiring to see a large group of women dedicated to meeting needs around the world through collaboration and partnership. Thank you to Agenda for Change, RWSN - Rural Water Supply Network, Community of Women in Water, Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA), and Stronger Together! Coalition members for hosting this wonderful event! #WWWeek
