🧬This week at #HPLC2024 we have served lunch with a side of oligos! At our jam-packed vendor seminar, Martin Gilar compared chromatographic methods for the analysis of oligonucleotides and talked about ways to optimize resolution and manage non-specific adsorption. He also shared our latest solutions designed to improve oligonucleotide workflows. Other highlights from the first day at the #HPLC2024 included: ▶ Expanding the Alliance iS Family to include the PDA Detector ▶ Fabrice Gritti introduced order to counteract chaos in his talk on noise reduction in proteomics ▶ Kristine Joy Camacho explored stationary phases for widepore size exclusion chromatography ▶ Margaret Maziarz, Adam Bengtson, Catharine Layton and Elom Pedanou presented posters on method modernization and chromatographic improvements: from small molecules, to peptides and monoclonal antibodies. If you want to learn more about any of these topics leave a comment and we will be in touch! #Chromatography #LCMS #CGT

Researchers at Sheffield Hallam University are using the Waters SELECT SERIES MRT Imaging Mass Spectrometer to understand how cosmetics and pharmaceuticals penetrate and distribute through layers of artificial, inflamed skin. But they are also going one step further by recreating the natural skin microbiome – bacteria, fungi and viruses included. This novel research enables manufacturers of cosmetics and personal care products to obtain a clearer picture on how their products behave in the presence of inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema.
