Huge shout-out to our incredible Webcor Concrete team for their extraordinary work at the UCI Mesa Court Residence Hall Expansion! Before pouring the mat foundation, Webcor Concrete took on an additional scope that included a sound wall (erected because the project is adjacent to other dorms), two K-rails (barriers used to separate lanes of traffic), a 25-foot engineered wall designed to withstand 80 mph winds, and underground utilities—a massive effort that truly embodied the One Webcor spirit. Many thanks as well to Webcor Drywall for their fantastic support with interior coordination efforts and to our Webcor Concrete grillmasters—Construction Manager Dennis Heimer, Sr. Superintendent Patrick Haley, Project Manager David Bischoff, P.E., and Construction Manager Ivan Ramos—for preparing another incredible BBQ for the 100+ attendees at the project’s topping out celebration! #BuildWithWebcor

It's a big day in our community engagement world: Not only is it Construction Inclusion Week's Community Engagement day, but it's ACE Mentor Program of America's Day of Action! Centered on workforce development, the ACE Mentor Program is a FREE after-school program that connects high school students with design & construction experts who inspire them to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC). Our LA team had a blast hosting a sponsor booth at ACE Mentor Los Angeles/Orange County recent golf fundraiser, which supports ACE's scholarship program, hands-on learning events such as All Schools Day and Build Day, and costs associated with ACE's college tours (transportation, lunches, and supplies for students). Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the completion of San Francisco International Airport West Field Garage's programming phase! This progressive design-build project with Corgan and Austin Commercial encompasses a parking garage for SFO employees, AirTrain station upgrades, partial demolition of building 660 with TI and site improvements, the demolition of building 676, and more. With Webcor Concrete Construction Manager Dennis Heimer at the helm, our Webcor Concrete grillmasters prepared a delicious BBQ for all 200 attendees, including team members from SFO, Austin Commercial, owners' reps, additional West Field development projects, and the many stakeholders who contributed their expert insights to our stakeholder engagement process. Congratulations to the entire team on reaching this exciting milestone!
