ANGELUS HOUSE is Wellspring’s residential program for adult women and gender diverse individuals struggling with mental health and emotional challenges. It is a nurturing and relationally-based community, and a former resident shared her experience: "Going to Angelus House saved my life. At Angelus, I discovered the origins of my mental illnesses, and I started healing childhood wounds and learned to heal my inner child. My life is now something that I treasure deeply. Our home passes are one of the fundamental aspects of our program here at Wellspring that sets us apart from others. Early on in their stay with us, residents begin to return home to spend time with their loved ones and apply the skills and insight they build during their treatment here. This begins with local visits with family members, increases into day passes home, and grows into overnight and weekend passes. The following week the entire family is able to work through outcomes, both the positive and challenges, within their family therapy sessions. These are all cultivated on an individual basis, driven by treatment planning, and allow the entire family to be a part of this healing journey. Wellspring is founded in providing relational healing for our families. Being able to cultivate this work in their natural settings is critical to sustainability.
