Thank you to our incredible leaders for bringing this vision to life!
What a fantastic day today hosting a group of The Wharton School MBA students at our Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus! We had the opportunity to host students focused on the big-tech track as well as on the start-up track. Great to combine both cohorts! We kicked off the day with an overview of the Microsoft Garage by Linda Thackeray followed by a hands-on #copilot workshop. The students got to use the Microsoft Copilot to generate a customized coffee mug assisted by Ann Marie Gizelle Baylon! Mike Gaal was next on the schedule. Mike shared great information about what it's like to work with growth-stage companies, and managing a multi-billion-dollar business. He also had great insights on how to remain authentic in a position with great responsibility and authority. We stayed on the theme of start-ups with our next speaker: Jason McBride, J.D., M.A., M.A.. Jason shared how M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund selects investments, and got a lot of student questions. He even was kind enough to host a break-out session to share more information. After a short break, Carolina Bogado Gomez and Dmitriy Bromberg shared more about hiring at Microsoft, and what opportunities MBA students have at Microsoft. We closed off the sessions with a career panel with 5 distinguished Microsoft employees: Gerald Tiu, Kirkland Jue, Subhav (Bob) Mital, Dmitriy Bromberg and Ria Patel. One of the students, Shrunothra Ambati, moderated the panel wonderfully and had fantastic questions for the students. It was great to connect more with the students during lunch and a campus tour! Thank you to all students for attending! cc: Srini Ambati
