Updates

  • Please join us in congratulating Braeden Rountree for his recognition on Billboard's Power 100 list!  ——— Several of Rountree’s artist clients had a stellar touring year in 2024. Zach Bryan’s sold-out headlining arena/stadium trek, The Quittin’ Time Tour — which Rountree booked with WME partners Seth Seigle, Andrew Colvin and Ron Opaleski — ranked at No. 3 on Billboard’s global Top Tours chart and No. 4 on the Top Ticket Sales chart. In the United States, it was the No. 1 tour. It also had the highest one-year take for a country act in Boxscore history. Meanwhile, Rountree’s longtime client Kane Brown also scored on the road in 2024 with his In the Air Tour, which played both arenas and stadiums. Rountree says that in addition to the challenges of rising touring and, subsequently, ticket costs, as well as scalper activity, “More acts are touring than ever before, so venue availability is getting harder and the demand from ticket buyers is being diluted — unless you are a newer, smoking-hot artist or a bigger artist that hasn’t toured in a while.”

  • Welcome to WME, Doug Johnson! ——— Johnson will join as an agent in the non-scripted department starting in the new year. In addition to non-scripted, Johnson will continue to work across the scripted space with a focus on comedy. “Doug is an innovative agent with a proven ability to build multihyphenate artists,” said WME non-scripted department co-heads Amir Shahkhalili and David Sherman. “As our industry continues to evolve, we need agents who are forward thinking, willing to push boundaries, and work across divisions for our clients. We think Doug is a great match and look forward to welcoming him to WME.” Johnson was most recently a literary and talent agent at CAA, which he joined in 2022 as part of the ICM acquisition. Johnson started at ICM in 2011 where he quickly moved up the ranks and became partner in 2016 in the motion picture literary department. Throughout his career, Johnson has worked across both scripted and non-scripted. He began his career as an agent at UTA in 2009 after working at Management 360 for six years.
