Members of the Willow team were excited to participate in the recent groundbreaking of the St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) Center's building addition in Easton, MD! 🎉 Talbot County Council Members Keasha Haythe and Lynn Mielke joined us to celebrate this significant expansion, along with Assistant Secretary Carol Gilbert of the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and local delegation members Senator Johnny Mautz and Delegate Tom Hutchinson. With $625,000 in Community Development Block Grant funding and $100,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds, this project will enhance SVDP’s ability to serve the community through their food pantry, thrift store, and expanded advisor space. As a 100% volunteer organization, SVDP is making a remarkable impact, providing over 500 individuals and families with essential resources each month. We are excited to get started on this renovation project with Green Street Housing at Laurel Grove Acres in Federalsburg. Renovations of this two-, three-, and four-bedroom community will include all new interior finishes and appliances, a new exterior aesthetic, sitework & landscaping, accessibility upgrades, and an expanded community center. We are pleased to announce we have closed on our financing and started construction on Laurel Grove Acres I in Federalsburg, MD! Green Street has partnered with People for Better Housing to renovate the 37-unit first phase of Laurel Grove Acres. Our $5.4 million, $146,000 per unit construction effort will modernize the one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom community with all new interior finishes and appliances, a new exterior aesthetic, sitework & landscaping, accessibility upgrades, and an expanded community center. We expect to complete construction in October 2025. We are thankful to our financing partners Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), USDA Rural Development, Cinnaire, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and NeighborGood Partners for making this development possible. We want to thank our Design & Construction and Development Team Partners below for helping provide due diligence, design, engineering, and specialized services to get us to the closing table. Austin Medical Supplies provides a wide range of medical supplies and equipment to support various healthcare needs. They specialize in mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, and canes), home healthcare products (beds, bedside commodes), wound care supplies, respiratory equipment, and other medical accessories. They also offer in-home consultation services, customized fittings and specially designed items unique to each user.
