After 6 years as the Founder and President of Women in Voice, a global non-profit with 22 chapters in 16 countries, that celebrates, amplifies and connects women in voice technology, the multi-talented Dr. Joan Palmiter Bajorek has passed the baton to WiV Board Member Leslie Garcia-Amaya, Partnerships Lead for Gemini and Speech AI at Google.  A longtime champion of Women in Voice, Leslie has served on the Board of Directors since 2020 and played a critical role in securing corporate funding to kickstart Women In Voice career development programming for its members. Leslie has been a consistent advocate for closing the gender gap at the top over the course of her 15+ year career, both as Founder and Lead of the Women@ chapter for Global Product Partnerships at Google and in her 2021 talk on “The Women Building Voice AI” at Google’s largest annual developer conference, Google I/O.
