"One of the things that I noticed was the lack of equitable access that workforce development students [have]…or noncredit versus credit students. So, I would like to see that. What if they do have childcare services? Or if they did have resources as far as childcare is concerned, or even paying for childcare, that noncredit students have that same access to those resources.” – Alisha Small, Montgomery College, Maryland As thought leaders in workforce development, NSC is partnering with organizations like Montgomery College to push for holistic support services in training programs. Big news! King County has nearly eliminated contracting disparities with minority- and women-owned businesses, according to a recent study. This successful outcome follows Executive Constantine's Pro-Equity Contracting Initiative and the County’s sustained efforts to recruit and retain historically disadvantaged firms as government contractors. Congrats all around! Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/gNUd29Dt
