A trip to Worlds of Fun is a trip around the world where you experience world-record attractions, world-famous food, world-class events, and world-changing fun! Founded in 1973 by Lamar Hunt, Worlds of Fun started as Kansas City’s Family Fun Adventure. It quickly grew into a theme park larger than any amusement park in the Midwest! Today it spans more than 325 acres with unique themed areas, a record-breaking waterpark with Oceans of Fun, and the resort for getaways that feel worlds away with the Worlds of Fun Village. Today the Fulltime and Part-time team took a quick break from park set up to honor some of our outstanding members on our staff. The Purpose Award is one of the highest honors someone can earn within Cedar Fair Entertainment Company and the nominations poured in. With 29 individual nominees and 39 total nominations, it was easy to see that the park teams LOVE supporting one another. Congratulations to all the nominees and to our 3 Purpose Award Recipients Erin Moffett Traci Slack and Cameron Miller! You all help Worlds of Fun provide a WORLD CLASS experience not only for our guests but your fellow Ambassadors! A big thank you also goes out to Chicken N Pickle for hosting us in the Northland at their beautiful space!
