The WTS CenCal Mentorship Committee is excited to invite you to our Speed Mentorship Event on Thursday, November 7th, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, at Caltrans Manchester (3052 W Shields Ave, Fresno, California)! At this event, applicants will run through a series of speed interviews where you will have a chance to meet each mentor or protégé 1-on-1 and pick your Top 3 selections. Pairings will be made based on these selections. Program Expectations: ·     1-year term – with an end of year graduation celebration! ·     2-3 hour commitment per month  ·     Activities include professional development workshops, social mixers and group events Expectations for Mentors: Provide guidance, share industry knowledge, and help your protégé navigate their career path. Commit to regular meetings and open communication throughout the program. Expectations for Protégés: Be open to learning, seek feedback, and set clear goals for your professional development. Today, we welcomed members of WTS- Central California Chapter on a high-speed rail construction tour in Fresno! More than 25 individuals explored construction around downtown Fresno, walked the location of the future Fresno Station, and ventured on top of the double-arched, Cedar Viaduct. In the afternoon, three high-speed rail pros shared their vision for the project’s future as part of “The New Frontier: High-Speed Rail and The Women Leading the Way” luncheon.
