🌍💧 Rincon Celebrates #WorldWaterDay! This year’s theme—Glacier Preservation—highlights the urgent need to protect the world’s rapidly melting ice. Glaciers store vital freshwater, regulate climate patterns, and sustain ecosystems. Glacier loss disrupts entire watersheds, impacting freshwater availability, biodiversity, and sea level rise. Rincon’s One Water and Shoreline Resilience teams work at the critical intersections of climate, water, and infrastructure to mitigate these effects: 🌊 Water Security & Climate Adaptation – Helping communities plan for an uncertain future by integrating sustainable water management strategies. 🌎 Watershed & Groundwater Resilience – Protecting freshwater resources through innovative recharge, stormwater management, and conservation solutions. 🌉 Coastal & Shoreline Protection – Strengthening natural buffers against rising seas and climate-driven hazards with science-based planning and restoration. From environmental planning to climate resilience, our work supports the sustainability of water systems at every level. California Arbor Week (March 7–14) has been a dedicated time to recognize the environmental, economic, and social benefits of trees. It also honors the legacy of renowned horticulturist Luther Burbank, whose contributions to plant science shaped the landscapes we protect today. At Rincon, we take pride in shaping and maintaining resilient urban forests across the state. Trees aren’t just part of the landscape—they are essential for cleaner air, cooler cities, and thriving communities. This week, we’re highlighting some of our impactful urban forestry projects: 🌳 City of Signal Hill – Assisting the City in executing and administering their grant to plant 594 trees in disadvantaged areas. 🌱 Contra Costa County Urban Forestry Master Plan – Collaborating with the County and stakeholders (city officials, fire department, residents, Mendicino Land Trust, and special interest groups) to shape a sustainable Urban Forest Management Plan strategy for future generations. 🌲 City of Fort Bragg Community Forest Plan – Partnering with the City to develop a strategic plan for managing its community forest with a focus on resiliency in a changing climate. We are also thrilled to support several cities by implementing adopted tree protection ordinances, policies, and Urban Forest Management Plans through as-needed contracts, where our Certified Arborists provide review of tree removal permit applications, new development submittals, and partner with cities in managing their urban forest. 🌳 Trees are a legacy. Let’s keep growing. 🌳 #ArborWeek #UrbanForestry #Sustainability
