Wynn Las Vegas rolled out the brown carpet for the stars of the Sheridan-Verse as writer, producer, director, actor and Four Sixes Ranch owner Taylor Sheridan and 101 Studios CEO David Glasser hosted a dinner party to debut Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse, a limited-time pop-up dining experience. “1923” cast members Harrison Ford and Brandon Sklenar; Emerson Miller of “Yellowstone;” “Mayor of Kingstown” principal Jeremy Renner; “Finestkind” protagonist Ben Foster; “Landman” actor Andy Garcia with daughter Alessandra Garcia; “Landman” star Demi Moore with daughters Rumer Willis and Scout LaRue Willis; film directors Rob Reiner and Antoine Fuqua; and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, all kicked up their cowboy boots—and high heels—for the evening out. The four-course menu featured “Cowboy Caviar,” Shiner Bock Beer Braised Wagyu Short Rib, 28 oz. Dry Aged Cowboy Steak and Campfire Potatoes. Wynn Al Marjan Island, a new architectural landmark in the UAE set to open in 2027 and developed with local partners Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC., adds three key executives to its growing executive team. COO Tom J. Roelens, Executive Vice President of Casino Operations David Patent and Vice President of Pre-Opening Planning and Strategic Initiatives Sherri DeSalvio join the integrated resort currently under construction in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. These esteemed hospitality and gaming veterans will report to Wynn Al Marjan Island President Max Tappeiner. Roelens will oversee the integrated resort's non-gaming operations. With over 25 years of experience managing ultra-luxury hotel operations, including 20 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, he most recently opened Atlantis The Royal in Dubai and managed operations for Atlantis The Palm and Aquaventure World. Patent will be responsible for gaming operations. He was previously CEO of analytics and business intelligence solutions provider VizExplorer and held senior management roles at three different Caesars Entertainment properties in Las Vegas and the Midwest. Sherri DeSalvio will develop and execute key strategic initiatives. Her career with Wynn began in 2008, and she has held progressive roles in hotel sales and convention operations while also managing various high-impact special projects.

Wynn Resorts is pleased to announce that Max Tappeiner has been appointed to the role of President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, Wynn’s newest resort currently under development in the United Arab Emirates. Tappeiner joined Wynn Las Vegas in 2022 and previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Executive Vice President of Operations for the resort before his most recent appointment. Prior to joining Wynn Resorts, Tappeiner held senior leadership positions at Resorts World and Venetian and Palazzo in addition to years spent working for non-gaming luxury operators such as Mandarin Oriental and Kempinski in gateway cities like Washington DC, New York, London, Berlin, and Munich. He holds an executive MBA from the Royal University of Melbourne, Australia. Tappeiner will begin his role as President of Wynn Al Marjan Island effective September 1, 2024. Wynn Al Marjan Island, slated to open in 2027, is located in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a beach-front setting overlooking the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf. Developed in partnership with Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC, it is projected to be the first multibillion-dollar integrated, multi-amenity resort in the UAE. Offering a premium luxury experience, Wynn Al Marjan Island will include a hotel with 1,500 rooms, suites, and villas along with exceptional entertainment and gaming amenities to include 24 dining and lounge experiences, innovative spa and wellness experiences, a high-end shopping esplanade, a state-of-the-art events center, a theater hosting a unique production show, and other amenities. 

The 2024 Wynn Resorts Diversity Summit was an inspiration-filled, three-day event August 7–9 where key members of the Las Vegas community worked alongside Wynn Resort team members and executive leadership to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion and respect. The summit, led by Wynn’s Senior Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion Glenda Swain, was designed with three areas of focus: the workplace, the marketplace, and the community. Highlights included a Supplier Diversity Networking Reception where members of local Chambers of Commerce met with Wynn procurement teams and senior leadership as well as a Unity in the Community Service Project during which employees wrote “get well” and “thank you for your service” notes to veterans in the VA Hospital. The summit’s centerpiece event featured a Diversity Town Hall held in Wynn’s Margaux Ballroom which included a fire-side chat with Brian Gullbrants, COO Wynn North America and Daymond John – Billionaire and Star of the hit show “Shark Tank.” Mr. John is also the CEO and Founder of FUBU and The Shark Group, as well as a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. He shared his insights on how to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset in the workplace. Important ideas, powerful conversations and a unified purpose shaped the event and helped build upon Wynn’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and respect within the workplace and beyond.
