Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant

Salem Radio Network is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Broadcast Accounting Clerk. This unique role is pivotal in supporting our broadcast business office operations and ensuring efficient operation of the office. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be proficient in Microsoft Excel and enjoy daily routine along with ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer credit card payment transactions and daily reports of transactions.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and emails. Review daily mail and confirm correct delivery.
  • Prepare desktop check deposits (training provided)
  • Generate and distribute via email new advertiser letter with associated forms
  • Reconcile customer statements with business team and email to each customer monthly
  • Data entry for renewal customer orders annually (Counterpoint Software -training provided)
  • Process various expense reports and monitor reports for accuracy and approval
  • Monitor Senior Vice President inbound phone calls
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
  • Perform data entry, filing, scanning and other administrative tasks.
  • Assist with special projects and provide support to other team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling financial information.
  • Knowledge of broadcast advertising sales processes and revenue recognition principles preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
