Summary
The Assistant Manager - Americas Head Quarter (AHQ) Finance Planning, is responsible for supporting or assisting in financial analysis and reporting processes of subsidiary companies under AHQ, development and implementation of improvement plan for internal controls over such financial analysis and reporting processes. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for validating and reviewing new business plans and M&A opportunities and perform analysis and due diligence, including assessing business assumptions and building financial models.
Responsibilities
Supporting financial reporting and its processes of subsidiary companies under AHQ under the direction of his or her supervisor:
Help establish, improve, and monitor financial analysis and reporting processes to ensure they achieve their strategic business goals and financial reporting requirements
Develop and optimize templates and channels that can effectively and efficiently achieve various reporting and monitoring requirements
Identify deficiencies in and improvement opportunities of such processes for individual subsidiaries or between subsidiary companies and provide advice, guide, and support
Closely work with subsidiary companies, understand their businesses and provide advice, suggestion, and guidance of accounting treatments for new business transactions to ensure that their accounting records are in compliance with their local GAAP and IFRS from the stand-alone financial statement perspective and consolidated financial statement perspective
Provide training and coaching to accountants of the subsidiary companies on the accounting treatment/policies and other internal control policies
Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy and reasonableness, and perform variance analysis to validate business assumptions and identify signals of unexpected problems that require immediate attention of decision makers
Develop standard policies and procedures, reflecting the group-wide instructions, to manage and maintain business operational and financial objectives of subsidiary companies
Support of new business development and Mergers and Acquisitions activities under the direction of his or her supervisor:
Review new business plans and potential business opportunities and by building financial models, provide advice from the financial perspective such as financial impacts, constraints, and cashflow projections
Perform due diligence of prospective Mergers and Acquisitions candidate companies, summarize the findings, and assist in post-transaction activities
Continuously review the current business portfolio to identify synergy-generating and optimization opportunities
Supports ad hoc analysis as required
Develop and manage staff to ensure production of high quality and timely work product
Compensation
$86,000- $96,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Proficient skills with MS Office applications
Good understanding of accounting solutions (SAP, Quickbooks, etc.)

Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree Required
6 - 9 Years of Direct Experience in Finance and/or Accounting
7 - 11 Years of Direct Experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit, and/or Process Improvement
1 Year of Indirect Experience Required
3 Years of Indirect Experience Preferred
Public Accounting Firm Experience Preferred
CPA and/or CIA Preferred
