Data Operations Specialist

Position Summary:
As a Data Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and ensuring the integrity, availability, and quality of data within the organization.

Your responsibilities will involve handling data processing tasks, troubleshooting issues, monitoring data flows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-related initiatives. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to optimize data operations workflows and contribute to the success of data-driven projects

Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute data processing tasks, ensuring the timely and accurate ingestion, transformation, and storage of data from various sources.
  • Monitor data flows, identify anomalies or errors, and troubleshoot issues to ensure data integrity and resolve processing errors in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement efficient data pipelines and workflows, ensuring smooth data processing and integration.
  • Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to predefined standards.
  • Participate in data-related projects, providing expertise and support in data operations, data management, and data governance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of data processing procedures, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure process consistency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements, provide guidance on data-related processes, and support data-related initiatives.
  • Work closely with data analysts and business users to troubleshoot data-related issues, provide data extracts or reports, and contribute to data driven decision-making processes.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve data operations efficiency, such as automating manual processes or implementing data quality monitoring tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data operations and data management.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, taking appropriate measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to manage data storage infrastructure, including data backups, disaster recovery, and system maintenance.
  • Provide support and training to end-users on data-related tools, systems, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in data operations, data management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data processing concepts, data integration, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data manipulation languages and tools.
  • Familiarity with data quality management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data management practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial

The hiring range for this position is:

$63,600.00-$84,300.00
