The Position:

As the Director of Field Marketing, you’ll ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of a set of the marketing team’s performance. This role involves the management of marketing processes, technology, data, and analytics to drive strategy, planning, execution, and measurement of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Team oversight includes leading a team to drive adoption of our product by bringing GameChanger to the spaces where current and future users gather. Specifically, you’ll oversee the development and execution of events, community growth and engagement, partnership activation, and direct-to-user focused marketing initiatives. You will lead development and execution of initiatives from end-to-end along with budget administration, analysis, and relevant communications. You’ll do this with an agile and entrepreneurial approach while driving operations to ensure a high level of execution, tightly aligned to product and go-to-market strategy.

The ideal candidate will have successfully led user engagement marketing strategies, managed events, optimized for data-driven decision making, and led high-performing teams. This role reports to the VP of Community and sits on the Go-To-Market team.

What You’ll Do:

Field Marketing

  • Drive planning and execution of marketing in three core areas: grassroots events, partnerships, and community engagement.
  • Ensure strategies are aligned with product marketing objectives, target audience personas, and brand identity.
  • Oversee activities to bring GameChanger to digital and in person spaces where current and prospective users gather.
  • Collaborate across marketing teams using agile methodology; including digital, social media, content, and design to maintain a consistent message across all programs, align on strategy, and execute towards shared KPIs.

People Management & Strategy

  • Lead a team of grassroots marketing professionals, fostering an environment of entrepreneurialism, growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Procure and manage external vendors, including agencies, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Business Development teams to negotiate and establish mutually beneficial partnerships that align with the organization's product marketing goals and target audience.
  • Oversee progress monitoring and ensure effective project management in alignment with greater go-to-market team processes (such as agile sprint processes).
  • Get hands-on with customer data and market insights to inform execution.
  • Use experimentation through A/B testing optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with Data and Analytics teams to develop and execute measurement plans.
  • Lead measurement and analysis of performance and OKRs to assess effectiveness, prepare internal reports and presentations to communicate insights, trends, and recommendations to key stakeholders and adjust tactics as needed to optimize results.
  • Act as a leader on the Go-To-Market team, collaborating across digital marketing and brand studio teams, and contributing to overall strategy.

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience with 4+ years leading teams.
  • Preference for experience in community engagement, events, customer support, partnerships, and communications.
  • Demonstrated success acquiring users for consumer-facing product-led growth (PLG) companies.
  • A history of driving outcomes with on-the-ground, grassroots strategy and tactics.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, thriving in environments of ambiguity, and effectively navigating through evolving and complex challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and drive efficient customer and revenue growth.
  • Proficient using data and experimentation to inform decisions and optimize performance.
  • Adaptable and eager to scale with a growing company.
  • Clear and concise communicator.

The target salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $200,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
