Authority Brands is seeking a Director of Human Resources specializing in Employee Relations. This individual would be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies, and programs that support a positive employee-employer relationship. This role is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating human resources activities, policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive employee relations strategies to promote a positive work environment, enhance employee engagement, and reduce turnover.
  • Create, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. Monitor changes in employment law and recommend necessary policy adjustments.
  • Lead the resolution of employee disputes, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner. Serve as the primary contact for all employee relations issues.
  • Create and execute learning strategies and programs and assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
  • Direct or coordinate an organization's financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
  • collaborate with managers to address performance issues, provide coaching, and ensure consistent application of disciplinary actions.

  • Direct or coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products.
  • Utilize payroll software systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing.
  • Continually researching and upskilling to bring new ideas and ways of working to the global organization.
  • Enhance and grow onboarding programs with the goal of acclimating new employees through learnings and interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years specializing in employee relations.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analysis.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
