Job Title: Director of Integrated Marketing

Reports to: Chief Marketing and Mission Experience Officer

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote Position

The Role and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for ensuring organizational excellence in brand storytelling, awareness, engagement, and impact across all communication channels.

The Director of Integrated Marketing plays a key role in ensuring that brand presentation and storytelling are consistent and impactful across the organization.


Key Functions

  • Help lead efforts on organizational planning and excellence to ensure projects are connected, aligned with brand/organizational values and sequenced in a strategic way
  • Oversees team’s development and integration of PBTF’s paid, earned, owned and shared media strategies, and manages partners and vendors
  • Responsible for management and evolution of the PBTF website
  • Provides strategic support and input to Mission Experience, Research, and Philanthropy teams to position PBTF as No. 1 resource for families and leader in research funding
  • Provides strategic support and input to Fundraising Patient Family Advocacy staff to improve recruitment, retention and cultivation of PBTF supporters
  • Leads national influencer and media outreach efforts
  • Ensures all organizational communications comply with PBTF brand standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Marketing and Mission Experience Officer

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a cross-functional environment, in an in-house marketing or communications department, or marketing agency
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing principles and practical applications, including programmatic advertising, paid search and social, and SEO; and email and text marketing
  • Experience working with print media and production
  • A working understanding of WordPress, and the ability to manage updates to the organization’s website
  • Demonstrated experience leading a multidisciplinary team and vendors
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, synthesize information from multiple internal and external stakeholders, devise effective solutions, and clearly communicate both the solutions and the strategy behind them to key stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective project management skills. Capable of balancing multiple priorities, both long-term and short-term
  • Capable of working independently and as a collaborative partner on a team
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and adaptability for change as PBTF is experiencing significant growth
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with willingness to learn new programs. Familiarity with generative AI tools is a plus.
