Grants and Eligibility Manager


LHH is currently partnering with a well-known nonprofit in the Washington, DC area looking to bring on a Grants and Eligibility Manager. This is a long term temporary position and will begin ASAP. The pay for the position will range between $26-$35 based on experience.


We are seeking a skilled individual to manage eligibility processes within our organization. This role involves overseeing the review and approval of applications for various benefits or services, ensuring compliance with set criteria. Key responsibilities include managing the application review process, providing guidance to applicants, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Review and assess applications from organizations seeking benefits.
  • Oversee and enhance the eligibility and application vetting processes.
  • Verify the accuracy of information provided by applicants.
  • Evaluate if applicants meet eligibility requirements.
  • Apply relevant policies and guidelines to determine eligibility.
  • Assist applicants with understanding requirements and completing applications.
  • Document decisions and reasons for eligibility determinations.
  • Communicate decisions to applicants and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on changes in criteria, regulations, and policies.
  • Manage a temporary team for the eligibility process.
  • Handle internal and external campaign applications.
  • Provide year-round customer service to nonprofit partners.
  • Develop knowledge of partnership criteria and campaign guidelines.
  • Support nonprofit capacity building and strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate content for communications and manage event arrangements.
  • Assist with financial transactions related to applications.
  • Collaborate with other departments and support resource mobilization.


Requirements:

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Experience interacting with high-level staff and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and organizational values.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Relevant certification preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years in eligibility determination, program administration, or related fields.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of eligibility criteria, regulations, and procedures.
  • Skills: Analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with relevant software.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CES, CCM) are a plus.
