Head of Insights (Staff Tech Lead Manager)

tvScientific is building a performance marketing platform in connected TV. We're a venture-backed Series A company and completely remote. We're hiring a Head of Insights to as the and serve as a Staff-level Tech Lead Manager (TLM). It's a high visibility role and the entire exec team (CEO, CPO, CRO, VP Marketing, etc.) are stakeholders for this job. This role reports to Michael Bilow, the Head of Data Science.

TLM jobs are some of the most challenging in the industry, and this one is no exception. We're looking for someone who can be a strong hands-on data scientist, a solid Python engineer, and a manager of a small team today. That said, experience as a manager is not 100% required; we're open to senior+ engineers who are looking for their first management job.

What you’ll do:

• Write production code in Python
• Be the face of the Data Science team to our internal reporting customers.
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor to the team

Ideal candidate:

• Ability to write & review production-level code in Python
• Excellent writing and data visualization skills
• Strong statistics and ML fundamentals
• Loves teaching and learning
• Desire to work at a fast-growing Series A startup–working under uncertainty, owning and scaling new products, and an experimental and iterative development process
