What you will be doing:

This is a Temporary FULLTIME Position 6 Months position with possible Extension 1st 3rd or Hybrid Shift Hours can be 4-10s Monday through Thursday. Either days 6am to 5pm or 4 pm to 3am. Client determines schedule as the needs are

Quest Defense is seeking a Production Control Engineer with at least five years experience to support production ramp up of existing military aircraft with new design changes.

  • Develop and prepare presentations to all levels of management including monthly

Executive meeting

  • Maintain aggressive schedules and must be willing to accept responsibility
  • Compile reports on the progress of work on production plan and/or issues as they arise/
  • Publish reports per established schedule, prepare data for production meetings, coordinate waving/picking of work based on the daily production schedule troubleshoot/escalate orders to the appropriate teams
  • Perform a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedule
  • Monitor production capacity, work order status, Production schedule and materials availability
  • Analysis data and prepare reports for management review
  • Other duties are as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in similar role, preferably in a Aerospace production environment
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the automated system in use
  • Applied knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
  • Must demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and understanding of production control services principles, concepts, theories, regulations and practices
  • Ability to demonstrate skills in administrative and clerical duties to include preparation of production efficiency reports, control memos, letters, and other communications
  • Researching root cause for discrepancy and follows corresponding procedures



Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, supply chain management, or other related field
  • Five plus years Experience
  • Working on F-16 preferred

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement
  • Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing and computer work
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen

Job Location: Greenville SC

Travel: Monthly to customer locations for governance meetings and to meet with delivery team(s)
