Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth: Increase overall sales by developing key relationships with new accounts while nurturing and expanding existing ones. Focus on delivering exceptional client experiences and ensuring financial profitability.
  • Client Relationships: Manage and maintain relationships with key accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities to keep a robust pipeline.
  • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry-related organizations and local community events to develop business connections and attain leadership status.
  • Lead Qualification: Expertly qualify leads and develop innovative strategies to win business, achieving annual sales goals.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Partner with creative teams to craft compelling proposals that align with client goals and budgets. Deliver dynamic presentations to prospective clients.
  • Client Interaction: Arrange and conduct site inspections, entertain clients, and develop strong personal rapport.
  • Business Closure: Finalize and close business deals, ensuring program deposits and signed contracts are in place before transitioning to the event production team.
  • Financial Management: Accurately project budgets and enter them into Salesforce for revenue tracking, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Marketing & Communication: Regularly update clients and hoteliers on new venues, services, and destinations through local marketing strategies.
  • Client Support: Be available during programs for client contact and follow up on future opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business development, experience designers, and event producers to exceed client expectations and create memorable experiences.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Keep the global sales team informed about local market opportunities and trends by sending quarterly destination overviews.
  • Business Planning: Implement and execute a business and marketing plan for your designated region.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in sales, preferably in destination management, incentive travel, event management, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Tourism, Business Management, Marketing, Communication, or a related field is preferred.
  • Client Development: Proven ability in new business development, lead qualification, proposal presentation, and closing deals.
  • Program Design: Experience in program design from inception through contract, with the ability to meet sales goals consistently.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of providing solutions to challenges that arise during program development and sales.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with suppliers on behalf of clients for optimal locations and terms.
  • Professional Representation: Ability to professionally represent the company in meetings, site inspections, industry events, and client interactions.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to respond to inquiries, write reports and proposals, and present information effectively.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in calculating program costs, profit margins, and other financial aspects related to proposal development and contract negotiation.
