Description

The VP of Data and Analytics will oversee the strategy, design, implementation, and management of the organization's Enterprise data foundation. This individual will lead a team focused on delivery of our Enterprise analytic data products. This position requires a deep understanding of data management, BI, and various stages of analytics (from descriptive to data science), as well as experience leading data & analytics strategic management initiatives. This role will partner across the organization to build an Enterprise data strategy that leverages data and insights derived from it to help inform our business strategy. This role not only requires experience partnering with technical leadership but also a strategic mindset to align data capabilities with business objectives, driving actionable insights for our organization. The ideal candidate will be a deep subject matter expert in creating & running data-mature analytics organizations while educating and bringing along a broader audience. They will also be adept at informing on & executing the Enterprise data strategy and influencing non-associated decision makers and leading inquiry-data change management efforts across the organization. The person in this role will drive an effective data driven culture that scales to meet the needs of all teams across eMoney.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring the effective capture, storage, analysis, utilization of data assets and optimized analytic tools and systems.
  • Lead and develop a high performing data analytics team responsible for providing enterprise-wide data insights to steer business strategy and decision-making.
  • Create data-centric approach to support business questions, decisions, and actions – developing analytics and relevant data roadmap.
  • Partner with teams across business functions to identify critical analytic needs and their corresponding data design, process and governance policies and develop data-driven insights that drive business actions and outcomes.
  • Partner with Enterprise IT to ensure infrastructure designs and approaches meet the business data & analytic capabilities required.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and other legal requirements related to data management.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in data and analytics delivery and inform recommendations for the adoption of new capabilities, tools and platforms.
  • Partner with and manage external vendors or consultants to ensure successful data systems implementation and integration with existing environment.
  • Partner with Enterprise IT to continuously manage team delivery to project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely and high-quality and high adoption data products.
  • Oversee a team responsible for data analytics, governance, and utilization while ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Build high trust relationships with business partners.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or relevant experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience (15+ years) leading Data analytics projects and teams.
  • 15+ years of analytics & data management/analysis experience, including extensive knowledge of database schemas, data dictionaries, field mappings, data sensitivity, data security, data flows, process analysis, etc.
  • 15+ years of experience in multiple areas of BI and Analytics
  • Implementation experience with Data Governance, Data catalog, Analytics, Semantic Layer, etc. tools.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations and strategic initiatives, using visualization and storytelling to enroll others to follow through on these recommendations.
  • Highly experienced with informing and executing a comprehensive Enterprise analytics data management strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategic business questions into a successful data and analytics roadmap.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Deep experience in statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, and predictive modeling, with large data sets and distributed computing in a cloud-based environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, manage projects, and deliver results.
  • Willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves get hands on when needed.
  • Build strong working Executive relationships.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within/ across teams.


The salary range for this position is $192,000 - $216,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise. This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
