Arieca, a venture capital funded spin-out of Carnegie Mellon University, is pushing the boundaries of material functionalities in the most demanding applications. Our proprietary liquid metal embedded elastomer (LMEE) technologies allow for unprecedented performances in applications across semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, and healthcare industries. Our TIMbber® product line is being qualified by leading semiconductor manufacturers.
WhoWe Need:
Arieca’s first product (ALT-304-90-B40) in the TIMbber Technology product line has beentransitioned from the Pittsburgh-based manufacturing pilot line to production status with 0.5MT (metric ton) per year capacity in partnership with our international manufacturing partner in Chiba, Japan. We need a talented, ambitious, and determined professional who can lead production ramp-up to 2MT and 5MT in 2025 and 2026, respectively, and manage post-ramp manufacturing while introducing of new products for an international production line.
Position Description:
This is a pivotal technology leadership role. You will oversee the production ramp up flow for existing product as well as define, design, and manage the transfer of SOPs (standard operating procedures) from Pittsburgh pilot line to our international manufacturing partner for the future product releases. Responsibilities include defining machinery requirements, developing and maintaining a cost-effective, reliable production process, and ensuring Arieca meets safety and quality standards.
The role involves coordination with international production partners, requiring regular phone calls and periodic travel to Asia. You will be the primary point of contact regarding manufacturing issues. You will be the primary point of responsibility in achieving buy-in from multiple stakeholders, as well as achieving manufacturing capacity and cost targets.

Other Requirements:
- Exceptional skills in defining, monitoring, and modifying manufacturing processes to achieve financial objectives
- Experience driving best practices and continuous improvement through the organization and partner organizations
- Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing technical process workflows
- Comfort in defining and enforcing compliance to SOPs
- Experience in establishing ISO9000 and similar quality standards
- Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience developing and managing a cost-effective supply chain
- Working knowledge of statistics as applied to manufacturing production
- Proficiency in Office tools such as Excel, PPT, Project, etc
- Ability to forecast budget and justify ROI of equipment purchases
- Minimum of 10-years’ experience in production related industrial work
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
- MBA, CAPM/PMP certification, and fluency in Japanese or Korean are advantageous
