It's hard to believe it’s already been two months since we came together at the Festival der Zukunft 2024 by 1E9 and the Deutsches Museum! To help us relive the amazing moments we shared with nearly 13,000 participants over four fantastic days—featuring more than 200 speakers and artists, our 1,000-square-meter exhibition, and the lively street festival—we’ve put together a recap video with all the best highlights. Big shoutout to Michael Herrmann von Koenigsweg for creating this awesome video!

Did you know there's a difference between a car collection and a car museum? While Klairmont Kollections initially started off as a private collection, we now function as a fully public not-for-profit museum. Use this graphic to learn about the differences between the two! Want to learn more? We wrote a whole blog post about the difference - and about why we decided to make the switch. Read our blog post here: https://lnkd.in/gDu-zhhX

We recently recorded an episode at the museum in Deurne, where you will find literally everything from the past... Literally everything 🤩 It's like stepping back in time. And on top of that, every thing in the place has a story. We recorded the episode for the Johnny Gaat Vintage channel 📺 When it appears online we will of course let you know 🙂 ____ #videoproductie #videoproductiebedrijf

Digital Advisor 🦾🌟Strategy & Impact & Digital - Enabling a sustainable and circular society with digital
"Generation Bianca and Generation Dopamine!" That statement really struck me, both as a parent and as a member of society. It made me reflect on how we should cope with our current state and the pace of modern life. It's crucial to address this issue starting from a young age as we also slowly move away from the current state of constant dopamine kicks. Listen to the amazing Katarina Graffman discuss this topic. Her insights are relevant for anyone working with young people, people in general, or knowledge. Great job, Digital Venue, for bridging the gap between knowledge and people! Worth checking out -> Mats Persson (Mr Utbildningsminister) What are your thoughts, Johan Wester, as a wizard of knowledge and society? And your take, Patrik Kruse? #museum #knowledge

When forming your policy on moving objects within your museum and on recording the location of objects whether in the museum or elsewhere, you should clarify when a courier should accompany objects in transit. 🔗 https://buff.ly/45DS6kS #PrimaryProcedures #MuseumDocumentation

You should have a policy on moving objects within your museum and on recording the location of your objects whether in the museum or elsewhere. This could either be a standalone document or part of a wider collections management policy: 🔗 https://buff.ly/45DS6kS #PrimaryProcedures #MuseumDocumentation

The Spring 2024 issue of Exhibition journal is now out. “Alternative Realities” surveys many ways exhibitions can question existing systems and open pathways to new and more equitable futures. At a time when what divides us can feel almost insurmountable, authors share how they are harnessing hope, challenging prevailing narratives, and upending established museum practices as they seek to reshape our vision of what is possible—within and beyond the museum. Exhibition is a journal of exhibition theory and practice for museum professionals published by the American Alliance of Museums. To learn more about the journal, this issue, past issues, and how to subscribe, check out: https://lnkd.in/eE5Vm9hR #museums #exhibitions #exhibitiondesign
