Celebrated for over 50 years thanks to the United Nations, this day raises awareness of environmental preservation among millions of people. This year, land restoration, desertification and drought resistance are the issues highlighted by the United Nations. For over 30 years at Ecocert, we've been committed to a sustainable world, and today we wanted to share with you some of the actions we've put in place, both externally and internally, to work in the right direction. 🌱 Our core business, the certification of sustainable practices including Organic Farming is a primordial lever for preserving the environment and our soils. I'm not sure if you're aware, but the environment is kind of a big deal 🌍 😉 Ecocert is committed sustainability at it's core, and continues to put into place continued actions and initiatives that work towards a more sustainable world. A few of the most recent initiatives taking place at the US subsidiaries: 🌱 Annual Clean-Walk event 🌱 Raising awareness: education and engagement of employees on various environmental and sustainability topics, and includes a monthly photo contest 🌱 Intentionality: Assessing our current practices of employee engagement and celebrations and implementing more sustainable options

It's all connected! Today, as we mark the International Day of Biodiversity (IDB), let's focus on how 'when one tugs at a single thing in nature, they find it attached to the rest of the world' - John Muir. Without proper management of materials and investment in sustainable development, many elements of our environment suffer. As earth's caretakers we(human beings) continue to create many challenges for the biodiversity of our planet, but we can still get back on track. To protect plants, animals, humans, and microorganisms, Sulma is committed to achieving biodiversity through: 1. Sustainable agriculture practices. 2. UNEP has launched the second of eight policy briefs to advocate for a sustainable food systems transition: "Promoting a Sustainable Agriculture and Food Sector in China." The brief explores the integration of ecological and economic strategies to enhance sustainable agriculture in China. It emphasises the importance of eco-friendly farming practices, efficient resource use, and the pivotal role of women in agri-food systems.
