🌱 April is Community Service Month! At SageMint Wealth, we believe that true wealth isn't just measured by what we have, but also by what we give back to our communities. That's why our commitment to service is woven into the very fabric of our organization. 🌟🤝 Here's how you can join in this month: 🔹 Find Your Cause: Think about what matters most to you. Is it the environment, food security, education, or animal welfare? Finding a cause you’re passionate about can make giving back even more rewarding. 📚 🐶 🔹 Engage with Local Organizations: Many nonprofits and community groups are looking for volunteers. Reach out to see how you can help, or visit websites like VolunteerMatch.com to find opportunities near you.🙋♀️🙋 🔹 Organize Your Own Event: Rally friends, family, or coworkers to organize a community clean-up, a charity fundraiser, or another service project. Leading by example is a powerful way to inspire others.🧹💵 🔹 Share Your Experience: Use social media to share your community service activities. It’s a great way to spread the word, celebrate your impact, and encourage others to get involved! 📣🗣️ To our clients, friends, and community partners: thank you for joining us in this journey of service and impact. Together, we're not just building wealth; we're building a better world. 💚🌍 #CommunityServiceMonth #GiveBack #Philanthropy #MakeADifference #LiveWellDoGood

There are a lot of people who inspire me, and it would be fun to highlight them all. As I’ve made no secret, Taylor Swift is up there on my list. While there are many reasons she is an inspiration for me, including her drive, authenticity, and business acumen, one of the things that stands out the most is how she uses her platform for greater good. A great example is how she has approached her worldwide Eras Tour, which will continue through the fall. Taylor has genuinely connected with local areas throughout the tour—and not just in the way she puts on a show. She has donated to food banks in the cities she’s performed, inspiring a flurry of donations from her fans. Not only has her leadership helped food banks expand their reach, but it’s raised awareness about increasing food insecurity around the globe. In fact, during her stretch in the UK, Taylor was praised for doing more than the government to help combat food insecurity, with one organization quoted as saying she donated enough to provide 10,800 meals! Yes, Taylor Swift has a huge platform. But thanks to social media, we all have a platform and the ability to extend our influence. It doesn’t matter how large or small our platform is. What matters is how we put that platform to use. From women’s rights to poverty to animal welfare, when each of us calls attention to the issues we care about, we can bring about a better world. What causes inspire you? And who do you admire for using their platform to improve the lives of others? #Inspiration #Purpose #Leadership

Walk in the Park: Dog Distraction Class It’s a different kind of walk in the park at See Differently’s weekly dog distraction classes for our pups in training. At these sessions, volunteers guide the pups through various exercises designed to help them stay focused (despite lots of tempting distractions like other dogs, toys, and people). Sofie and Bree from the puppy team lead the class with lots of tips and tricks to keep the students on the right track! Teaching our dogs these skills early on is essential for them to become well-trained and reliable companions. We're looking for more volunteers to help raise and train our next generation of See Differently guide or assistance dogs. We have various volunteering opportunities to suit everyone. Honoring Selflessness: Beyond Company Volunteer Days Today, on Pat Tillman's death anniversary, his legacy of selfless service resonates deeply. While company volunteer days are fantastic - fostering team spirit and giving back - true selflessness extends beyond those designated hours. Imagine the impact if we all carried that spirit into our communities every day. There's an elderly neighbor who could use help with groceries. A local animal shelter overflowing with animals longing for a walk. Maybe a park cleanup neglected after a long winter. These are the countless opportunities where your time can make a world of difference. Selflessness isn't about grand gestures. It's about looking around and identifying a need you can fulfill, big or small. It's about lending a hand without expecting anything in return. Pat Tillman walked away from a lucrative NFL career to serve his country. His sacrifice reminds us that true fulfillment often comes from putting others first. So, today, and every day, let's honor his legacy by: Seeking out volunteer opportunities in our communities: Find a cause that resonates with you and donate your time. Looking for everyday ways to help: Offer to help a struggling colleague, hold the door for someone with their hands full, or simply offer a kind word to someone who seems down. Remember, even the smallest acts of selflessness can have a ripple effect, creating a more connected and compassionate community. Let's strive to be the change we want to see, one selfless act at a time.

Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. It is a week where we try to give back and we always end up getting so much more than we give. Great job Lauren and the entire Serve Week support team. #foundrycommercial #itspersonal #theocho #serveweek2024

🌟 Celebrating the Legacy of the Black Panther Party's Free Breakfast Program🖤 In 1968, under the leadership of Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton, the Black Panther Party initiated their groundbreaking Free Breakfast Program in West Oakland. What began modestly, serving 11 children on its inaugural day, quickly transformed into a vital lifeline for over 20,000 kids/day in 1968-1969, nationwide. Building on the success of the free breakfast program, the Panthers' Free Food Program established food pantries to support adults as well. Their commitment to nourishing the bodies and minds of their community members solidified their profound understanding that hunger is not just a physical condition but also a systemic injustice. The Panthers' initiatives transcended past food. They established free medical clinics staffed by volunteer doctors, nurses, and medical students, often housed in low-rent facilities donated by supportive community members. These clinics served as symbols of solidarity in neighborhoods underserved by traditional healthcare systems. Yet, the Panthers' impact extended beyond their direct services too. They leveraged their grassroots network to advocate for systemic change, rallying local businesses for donations and boycotting those who refused to participate in their effort to build community solidarity. Their efforts spoke volumes and represented the power of collective action. Though many aspects of their work were considered controversial in their time, today many recognize The Black Panther Party as powerful role models of community organization and activism that addressed systemic injustices like food insecurity long before many organizations like ours came into existence. Today, we honor their monumental contributions to fighting hunger in their communities. 💙 If you're interested in learning more about the work of the Black Panthers, we encourage you watch the incredible Oakland Museum's Black Panther documentary: https://lnkd.in/e_q4WjPE Photo credits (in order): Stephen Shames, William P.
