Profitable Sustainability: Turning Expenses into Revenue! I crafted a strategy for this business using principles of sustainability and circular economics to turn a hefty materials expense into a new service for the business that instead created profitable revenue that paid THEM for their materials. This also worked to challenge a monopoly in the industry and allowed landscapers to offload their materials for half the price. Huge win for both land stewards and the environment. Who says that healthy margins have to go against ecology and stewardship? Lanette's dedication to sustainability, craft, and science feels like an active love letter to planet earth. Not only did my work with them help to inspire my journey with Thrivewell, but the puzzles I worked to solve with them deepened my understanding of how to create productive and enriching circular economies. After that, I was nothing short of obsessed with sustainable business practices. If you're a South Florida gardener and are looking for the best soil amendment possible, find Fertile Earth Worm Farm. If you're a business owner with major food scrap waste, find Lanette, Miami's foremost steward for sustainable waste management. Thank you for your trust and support, Lanette and FEWF! #sustainableoperations #projectmanagement #virtualassistant #administrativesupport #seattle #miami #nyc #losangeles #operations #sustainability

My latest article ‘Substack: A Groundswell for Sustainability’ with WILD Magazine has gone live📝 Here is a little snippet: “Substack’s focus on journalistic freedom has steadily nurtured an emerging collective of sustainability writers on the app. But why has it, I hear you cry? Offering an alternative form of publishing free from the constraints typically imposed by conventional media outlets; this freedom enables writers to cultivate more honest discussions surrounding sustainability matters. Independence from political, corporate and commercial channels means that writers on Substack can address the subject of sustainability without having to conform to certain rules and regulations that might minimise the environmental issues at hand.”
Daisy Culleton explores why Substack has become an important for vehicle for communicating sustainability issues, and the best eco-newsletters that it has to offer. Condo Management and Environmental Concerns: Navigating Resident Disputes Residents at Dairy Farm Estate are facing a significant challenge as they grapple with the condominium management's decision to remove 35-year-old trees. This situation highlights a critical issue: the need for transparent decision-making processes that involve community input, particularly when it concerns environmental stewardship. The importance of retaining mature trees is not only for aesthetic value but also for maintaining local biodiversity and air quality. As industry professionals, how can we ensure that management decisions align with both resident concerns and environmental sustainability? What strategies can we adopt to facilitate better communication and understanding in similar situations?

Inspirational Story: “The Man Who Planted Trees” by Jean Giono For a human character to reveal truly exceptional qualities, one must have the good fortune to be able to observe its performance over many years. Summary: “The Man Who Planted Trees” is a short story by Jean Giono, first published in 1953. The story is a fictional account of a man named Elzéard Bouffier, who lives in a remote valley in the French Alps and spends his life planting trees. Over the course of several decades, Bouffier single-handedly transforms the barren and desolate landscape into a lush and thriving forest, which has a profound impact on the surrounding environment and community. Theme: “The Man Who Planted Trees” highlights the power of individual action and the importance of environmental stewardship. The story emphasizes the transformative power of nature and highlights the impact that even one person can have on the world. Moral of the story: The story shows that small actions can have a big impact on the world. It serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and protecting the natural world, and of the power of individual action. It also encourages readers to take responsibility for the environment and to work toward a more sustainable and harmonious relationship with the natural world. 📚
