🗞️ NEWS -- Max Power Mining Corp (CSE: MAXX) | (OTC: MAXXF) has intersected a thick lithium claystone sequence as well as multiple liquid brine targets in its first diamond drill hole at the Willcox Playa in southeast Arizona. This represents a new discovery with considerable scale and grade potential as MAX Power’s Willcox Property covers a 6-mile-long north-south corridor defined by favorable geophysics and surrounded by excellent infrastructure in the heart of the American West. ⚒️ 🗣️ Mr. Peter Lauder, Senior Geologist and Exploration Manager for MAX Power, commented: “Willcox is already showing itself to be quite unique and fascinating based on just the very first drill hole with strong potential for widespread and robust lithium mineralization in thick claystone sequences under the Playa. Coverage stock Rimfire Pacific Mining Limited (ASX: RIM) (initiated @ 2.3c in 2016) has provided an important update with respect to exploration activity at the Bald Hill Prospect, located within its Broken Hill Project in NSW. RIM is currently undertaking a 6-hole/1,000-metre diamond drill program at Bald Hill, designed to test the significance of a very strong magnetic anomaly, which is interpreted to be a potential extension to previously drilled high-grade cobalt (Co) and copper (Cu) mineralisation. The Bald Hill magnetic anomaly trends NNE, dips to the southeast, and has a near-surface extent of 450 x 400 metres, extending to a vertical depth of approximately 300 metres below surface. 3D modelling suggests that the anomaly plunges to the southeast, with RIM’s 2023 diamond holes just “clipping” the top of the anomaly. Encouragingly, the first two holes in the program have successfully intersected multiple broad zones (downhole widths) of sulphide mineralisation, 100 – 200m away from previous high-grade cobalt drill intercepts (assays awaited). Mr. Greg Hahn VP Exploration commented, “Drilling at Philadelphia has two objectives: to build a bulk tonnage low grade heap leachable resource at grades +0.5 gpt gold, and to delineate high grade portions in the FW and HW veins that were the subject of historic mining. The channel sampling in the recently uncovered adit revealed what is likely the higher grade core of the Rising Fawn section of the mineral system, where we have limited drill hole coverage. This higher grade area remains to be drilled.” Greg Hahn continued, “The drilling results in the Rising Fawn Gap demonstrate the gold-silver stockwork system continues towards the Perry portion of the mineral system with further drilling required. We intersected gold mineralization in the volcanics above the stockwork quartz interval which increases the total thickness of mineralization there. The drill intercepts in the Resaca Gap are primarily silver with low gold values. Big news out of Arizona this morning with Max Power Mining Corp #MAXX #MAXXF confirming the discovery of near-surface lithium-rich clays over a large area of their Willcox Playa property. Notably, they've also successfully separated the lithium from the clay through their collaboration with UC Berkley. NR: https://lnkd.in/gXwPyBbV Highlights: -Each of the first three triangular-spaced drill holes in the northern section of MAX Power’s property, the Discovery Zone covering an area 1,640 feet x 1,640 feet x 2,300 feet, intersected lithium at shallow levels over significant widths, including 15.5 feet grading 774.8 ppm lithium within a broader whole rock interval of 184 feet averaging 570.8 ppm lithium in drill hole WP-23-02 -When separating the clay fraction from the sand/silt fraction, lithium assays increased markedly, by as much as 47%, assaying up to 1,447 ppm lithium -This early-stage discovery remains open in all directions with MAX Power also exploring options to expand its land package -Based on a compilation of MAX Power’s work to date, and historical data, geologists believe the Discovery Zone represents just a fraction of the scale potential of Willcox with higher-grade mineralization expected in areas of increased clay content. #Mining #Lithium #EV #BatteryMetals
