🗒️ Instagram users are now able to leave Notes on Reels and posts that disappear after three days. 👥 These new expiring comments are also semi-private, with options to tailor who sees your comments: close friends or followers who you follow back. ❤️ People that see your note can either like or reply to it. If someone replies to your note, their reply will start a chat between you and them only. Others cannot see who’s viewed, liked or replied to your note. 🤝 This feature emphasizes authenticity and "hot takes," allowing Instagram users to interact with their audience in a more personal way. 💬 Will notes become a part of your interactive toolbox? 🚨 Instagram is rolling out some exciting new features that are set to enhance how we interact on the platform: 1. 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Previously limited to emojis, you can now leave written comments on Instagram Stories. This opens up new avenues for engagement and conversation, making interactions more meaningful. 2. 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀: Instagram is serious about keeping its platform safe and authentic. With new tools that allow bulk removal of spam comments, story views, and fake followers, creators can maintain a cleaner and more genuine community. 3. 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀: Reels can now be downloaded globally, complete with an Instagram watermark. This feature, similar to TikTok’s, helps in sharing content while ensuring creators get credit. 👉 These updates are a win for both creators and users, making Instagram a more interactive, safer, and creator-friendly platform. #InstagramUpdates #SocialMediaMarketing #DigitalMarketing #ContentCreation #InstagramStories

Remember how Instagram sparked a wave of concern among creators last week when it published a video which explained that asking your audience to comment on a post with a single word could impact your post reach? And similarly how posting reels longer than 90 seconds will hurt your reach? Well, Instagram’s now sought to add some additional qualifications to its advice, to ensure that people understand exactly what those impacts might be, while also providing some extra notes on its broader approach to CTAs, Reels recommendations, and more. Or is it MORE confusing? Let us know in the comments what you think about their clarification. There has been some inconsistency in recent communication from Instagram team. In one instance, they advised against Reels exceeding 90 seconds, followed by a separate video instructing creators on how to make longer Reels. The key takeaway, although not initially well-communicated, is that longer videos will have limited visibility in Explore and the Reels tab. Secondly, Instagram discouraged the use of specific answer calls to action (CTAs) in videos, such as requesting comments with particular words or emojis. This video was subsequently deleted, but it sparked discussion regarding the potential impact on automated engagement tools. The exact consequences remain unclear, but it could negatively affect reach. Overall, Instagram's communication seems to lack clarity and may have a greater effect than they anticipate. It highlights the ongoing challenge for social media platforms to fully grasp the needs of their creator communities. Hopefully, by acknowledging the feedback, Instagram can refine their communication strategy in the future. #Instagram #socialmedia #reels

How the Instagram Reels algorithm functions remains somewhat of a mystery, but there are key factors influencing which Reels you encounter: 1. **Relationships**: Your interactions matter. Just so you know- reels from accounts you engage with regularly are prioritized. Liking, commenting, DM'ing, or sharing with others increases visibility between you and them. 2. **Relevance**: Instagram aims to cater to your interests. If you watch a lot of tree frog videos, expect more of them in your Reels feed. 3. **Timeliness**: Fresh content gets precedence. Recent uploads are favored by the algorithm. 4. **Popularity**: Size and activity of your audience count. The more engaged your followers are, the more likely your content gets highlighted. It's essentially a popularity contest.

Is the old Instagram we all know and loved in its comeback era? Instagram has changed its algorithm AGAIN! But instead of dreading learning a new algorithm again, I'm optimistic about this one! The head of Instagram; Adam Mosseri made a video stating the new algorithm will favor smaller AND original creators. With the old algorithm favoring bigger creators and only pushing your content out to your followers first; it gave smaller creators little to no chance to grow on Instagram. So because the algorithm is changing again and it's giving more opportunities to smaller accounts, there is more competition within the space. Don't focus on the quantity of your content like how it was in the past. Focus on the quality of your content instead. Ask what value your content can bring to your target audience! #instagramgrowth #socialmediamanager #socialmediagrowth #instagramalgorithm #linkedin

This is a fascinating development! It really opens up a safe space for creators to experiment and innovate without the fear of impacting their current follower base. Plus, the data-driven insights can be a game-changer for refining content strategies. I can see this feature empowering creators to take more creative risks and ultimately enhancing the quality of content on the platform. Exciting times ahead for the creator economy! 🚀 #innovation #contentcreation

Instagram is testing ‘trial reels’ that don’t display to a creator’s followers. This is actually really interesting. Why? ✳ It allows creators to explore different types of content with much less risk - When you hit post and know that your entire following can see the content it makes experimentation much riskier. 📊 It will provide highly valuable data on what types of posts are resonating with broader audiences - After posting a reel using this feature IG is going to share insights about the reel’s performance like plays, likes, comments, and shares. Based on those insights, the creator could then choose to share their reel with their followers or archive it. Instagram has been testing and releasing a lot of features this past month (video ads that stop you from scrolling further, lately feature for stories, trending memes, and more), but this may be my favorite. So, what is the “Following” Feed on Instagram? You are watching multiple profiles and posts in your feed. But is there any feed where you will only see your following person’s post specifically? No? Right. The team has been announcing that this will not happen now. Instagram tried some times but a group of people liked it, and multiple groups of people didn’t like it. Also by applying this features, they find out people spending less time on the platforms. Who wants that? Right! Right now, Instagram is focusing more on recommendation videos, allowing the audience to see their favourite creators or content and increase their spending time on the platform. Just like YouTube and TikTok(Yes, which we wouldn’t know) #socialmediaupdate #socialmedia #socialmediatips #instagram
