We saw another great attendance at the Advanced Forming Research Centre's "Sheffield Forging & Forming Forum" again yesterday (Tuesday 11th June) at the OEC Sheffield, (Lauren Rees) made up of both large and smaller businesses. Forum members from across the UK gathered to hear two great presentations, firstly from Michael Ward - Professor of Practice from the Advanced Nuclear Research Centre on the "Supply chain implications from the UK Nuclear Roadmap and then from Gareth Barker - Chief Operating Officer at Sheffield Forgemasters who gave an intriguing update on their Recapitalisation Programme since the MOD's acquisition of the business, the magnitude of the plans is just brilliant!! Thank you to them both and their organisations. Once again the networking element of the Forum worked really well, great conversations, new introductions and catch-ups with contact details being swapped. Thank you to all those who were able to join us and for taking the time out to help make the Forum what it is.
